CHILDREN'S LITURGY OF THE WORD - Children’s Liturgy of the Word is offered at both Sunday Masses during the school year. Children from age 4 through the 2nd grade are welcome. Before the First Reading, an adult leader and an assistant accompany the children to the chapel where they hear the First Reading, Responsorial, Alleluia and Gospel read from the Children’s Lectionary. The leader then helps the children to understand the Gospel message and how it applies to them. Each volunteer is asked to help with one Mass per month. The Leaders will need to study, pray and prepare for their assigned week. The assistants do not need to prepare in advance. While the time required will vary from person to person, most volunteers spend between 20-40 minutes on this preparation.
