Volunteers are central to our success as a community, and the church and school provide many opportunities for volunteerism. In order to foster a safe environment for our children and youth, we screen all prospective volunteers as required by the Diocese of Raleigh and the Safe Environment Team at St. Mary Magdalene.
All paperwork and verification must be on file prior to volunteering.
Volunteer Levels and Requirements
· Level B
o Supervised interaction with children and youth under the age of 18 with a Level C adult present.
o Requirements: Level B application, 3 references, attend Safe Environment Training
· Level C
o Unsupervised interaction with children and youth under the age of 18. Adults attending a retreat or field trip with children or youth must be Level C.
o Requirements: Level C application (with approved background check), 3 references, attend Safe Environment Training.
