St. Mary Magdalene School recognizes that we live in a digital world and continually work with students and staff to increase their technology knowledge.
Technology - Parent and Student Interface
St. Mary Magdalene uses RenWeb software to manage all student information. Access is provided to both students and parents to keep up to date on school activities, homework, grades, and resources. This software is accessible on both desktops and mobile devices. The students are using Kidspiration, TypingMaster, Moodle, Symbaloo, Lenoit, Prezi, and other online applications.
There are approximately 150 computers on our campus. The computers are spread throughout our school including a computer lab with 32 desktops, desktops in some classrooms, as well as laptops and desktops utilized by the staff.
The St. Mary Magdalene campus is wireless and supports two separate networks - one publically accessible for parents and visitors, and one for facutly and students.
All our classrooms are equipped with projectors and we have twelve SmartBoards across all grades.
Technology - Curriculum
All students in grades K-8 have a weekly technology class. Starting in kindergarten students are taught the basic skills in a project based learning environment. All students are taught the essential skills such as keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation skills while creating a project. Technology is integrated into all subjects.
