Uniforms-Dress Code

All uniforms must be purchased from Educational Outfitters. Educational Outfitters is located in Cary.

Girls Pre-K-5

Uniform drop-waist jumpers (Pre-K-4) (2 styles for pre-school and kindergarten)
Uniform plaid skirt (Grade 5-8)
Uniform khaki shorts, pants, or skort
Uniform white or burgundy polo (short and long sleeve)
Uniform Peter Pan blouse (short and long sleeve)
Uniform polar fleece vest or jacket

Girls 6-8

Uniform khakis shorts or pants
Uniform khakis skort
Uniform plaid skirt
Uniform white or burgundy polo (short and long sleeve)
Uniform polar fleece vest or burgundy/black jacket

Boys Pre-K-5

Uniform khaki pants or shorts
Uniform white or burgundy polo shirt (short and long sleeve)

Boys 6-8

Uniform khakis shorts or pants
Uniform white or burgundy polo shirt (short and long sleeve)
Uniform polar fleece vest or burgundy/black jacket

Note: White or burgundy mock turtleneck shirt may be worn as part of the uniform.

School Shoes

Below are guidelines that parents and students must follow if they choose to wear sneakers to school verses shoes.

1. sneakers must have shoelaces and tied at all times

2. no "skate" shoes

3. no high tops or basketball sneakers

4. sneakers must be pre-dominately white, grey, brown, or black.

5. no sneakers with "rollers" in the soles

6. no sneakers the blink, sing, or make noise

7. socks must be worn with sneakers and be visible at the heel.

Physical Education Uniforms K-8

PE uniforms are to be purchased through Educational Outfitters.

Uniform burgundy mesh or cotton shorts
Uniform gray T-shirt
Uniform burgundy sweatshirts (cotton or wind)
Uniform burgundy sweatpants (cotton or wind)
Tennis shoes or sneakers

NOTE: On days in which physical education class is scheduled, students are to wear their PE uniform to school.

Pre-K students are not allowed to wear PE uniforms to school.

Additional Dress Code Guidelines

Make-up may not be worn
Clear nail polish only
Perfume or cologne may not be worn
Only one necklace may be worn with a religious medal or cross in which the medal or cross is 1 inch or less
Wrist or ankle bracelets may not be worn
Only one pair of stud earrings may be worn
Students may wear only one ring
Boys are not permitted to wear earrings
Blouse, skirts, shirts, etc. must be tucked into the skirt, pants, or shorts.
Belts are to be worn with pants and shorts
Boys' hair must be worn at the collar. Fad haircuts are not permitted.
Dyed hair is not permitted
Skirts and shorts may not be rolled.
Only StMM school sweatshirt, sweater, or jackets may be worn in the classroom/hallways.
Baseball caps are not to be worn to school.

Enforcement of Dress Code

For the first offense, a student not in uniform will be given a uniform violation slip. Any additional dress code violations, students will be sent to the office to call their parents to bring the correct uniform.
