Tuition Assistance
The Catholic Schools of Southwest Wake County consists of St. Mary Magdalene School in Apex and St. Michael the Archangel School in Cary. The two schools are sponsored by the three parishes that built the schools, St. Andrew the Apostle, St. Mary Magdalene and St. Michael the Archangel. The three sponsoring parishes provide need-based tuition assistance to families who are active, registered parishioners at one of the three sponsoring parishes and who can be identified as contributors of time, talent and treasure at their parish. An interested family must apply to FACTS each year prior to the deadline date. For the 2012-2013 school year, the deadline date to apply to FACTS is Friday, February 3, 2012. The Governance Board, made up of members of the three sponsoring parishes, reviews the FACTS financial aid report and awards need-based tuition assistance with a maximum award of 50% of the yearly tuition. Award letters are mailed to applicant families in early April. To apply to FACTS for the 2012-2013 school year, click on this link: FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment
Tuition assistance is available for students in grades K-8 only.
Diocese of Raleigh: The Diocese of Raleigh awards scholarships based on its God's Work Our Challenge Campaign. These scholarships are need based. These awards range from $150-$300 per student. Awards are made in April.
For the above two programs, parents must apply each year to be considered for aid.
