Jeff Williams - Good Sportsman
Jeff Williams, StMM Class of 2009 and CGHS Class of 2013, was mentioned in a column in the Cary News. During a recent lacross game against Apex High School, Jeff and an Apex player showed 'maturity' and 'perspective' in a situation that could have gone the wrong way. We are always proud of our students, but are especially proud of those that demonstrate good sportsmanship in addition to athletic prowess. See full story here.
Alumni Win Regional Art Awards
Cardinal Gibbons student artists received 39 Gold and Silver Key Awards for their artwork at the recent 2012 Eastern/Central N.C. Scholastic Art Awards Program. In addition, 18 students received Honorable Mention for their work. Four students from the StMM Class of 2008 and the CGHS Class of 2012 won either Silver Keys or Honorable Mentions for their artwork. Those students are: Mahaliegh King, Steven Phillips, Andrea McKinley and Jackie Girard. See full story here.
Colin McKendry
Colin McKendry, StMM Class of 2009 and CGHS Class of 2013 has verbally committed to Providence to play lacrosse. An All-Conference selection as a sophomore, McKendry won 75% of his faceoffs in 2011 and has led his team in groundballs the past two years. See full story here.

Matt Milner
Matt is in the news again, as he recently spoke to some students at Annunciation Catholic School in Havelock. Matt was invited to speak by Susan Parks, principal at Annunciation. Susan taught here at StMM for many years until she was promoted to principal at Annunciation. See full story here.
Matt Milner, StMM Class of 2005, Cardinal Gibbons Class of 2009, was named to the First Team Academic All-District 3 First Team for his academic and football performance at East Carolina University. A physics major, Matt earned the initial academic all-district award of his career with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average. See full story here.
